We are excited to announce Legacy’s Open House season! This is an essential opportunity to see your child’s learning accomplishments first hand. Save the date for your classroom’s Open House and invite your friends!
Open Houses are opportunities for you, the Parent, to witness the tremendous learning that happens in our classrooms! For Parents’ convenience, Open Houses for each classroom are in the morning from 8:30-9:30am. Upon arrival to school, drop off your child in his/her classroom, then head for Room 7 to meet with Ms. Katie for an overview. From there, you will proceed into the classroom for a “Silent Journey” of our work period. You will walk away with renewed confidence in your child, your Teacher, and in Legacy Montessori School.

Join us on December 16, 2017 for a school-wide celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus! As a Christian school, Christmas is a cornerstone event. All of our students are eagerly preparing a performance of the musical “Miracle at the Christmas Café”! This annual season of fellowship is always highly anticipated by staff, students, and families. We are looking forward to another memorable Christmas together at Legacy!
Dear Legacy Families,
We are proud to invite you to our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast. There is so much to be thankful for, and we want to share this special time showing our appreciation for YOU!
Students in each classroom will perform a song and present a handcrafted gift for their parents. An Usborne Book Fair will accompany our Breakfast, so be sure to browse the beautiful and varied books that will be on display.
Looking forward to seeing you then!
Very often, I am asked by parents to advise them on how to help their child thrive, both in and out of school. This is a multi-layered question and the answers involve so many facets of influence that you, as parents, have over your children. At Legacy, I see children in similar circumstances thrive at varying levels. Why is that? The simple answer is because all kids are different. I slightly disagree – the children who thrive in academic, spiritual, and social development have a different type of parents. These parents usually are “in the know”. They are fully engaged in all aspects of support and nurturing. They understand what is happening with their child’s environment and development, what their child is being taught, and they know how to propel their child to the next level
At Legacy, we understand the “thrive thermometer” depends mainly on school and parent influence. It is essential for our parents to see how and why things are done in school and provide consistent reinforcement. On Thursday, November 2, 2017, we are rolling out our first Parent Education Night. This is a must attend event if you want to be “in the know”. Later in the school year, we will be hosting discussion and learning groups to support your parenting effort. Parent engagement makes the difference between average and excellence. Come and become a part of excellence.
Engaged Parents = Successful Students
